My signature flourless nut butter bar recipe tweaked. Thank god I did this. Bananas, peanut butter and chocolate combo never disappoints.
Its one bowl, all wholesome ingredients, limited added sweetener (since the bananas handle that dept.) and tastes UHmazing!!
I used salted raw peanut butter. You can also substitute in almond butter (or any nut butter).
- 2 ripe medium bananas, mashed
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (room temp.)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
- 3 tbs almond meal
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/3 cup dairy free chocolate chunk pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8×8″ brownie pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients, except the chocolate chunks. Fold those in at the end. Transfer mixture to the pan and spread out evenly.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the center is set.
Allow to fully cool prior to removing from pan and slicing.
Store in an airtight container.
