Best tasting baked chicken tenders I’ve ever produced. They are completely crunchy and the sauce is incredible. Everything is beyond easy to make. I implore you to make these at your next get-together or for your honey for dinner.
- 1/3 cup oat flour (or regular flour)
- 2 eggs + 1 tbs water, beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1.5 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup Frank’s Hot Sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbs water
Preheat oven to 425 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice the chicken lengthwise into thin cutlets. Then once, in half, into two strips.
In a shallow tupper, house the oat flour, and in a separate tupper house the panko. Dredge the chicken strips first into the flour, then into the egg and finally into the panko. Place them on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
While they are baking, make the sauce: In a small pot, on medium heat, bring to a boil the brown sugar and hot sauce – constantly stirring until a thick sauce forms (about 3-4 minutes). Remove pot from heat and stir in the garlic powder and water, until smooth & all are incorporated.
When chicken tenders are done baking, dip each one into the sauce and serve immediately.
Yields 4 servings.
