flourless peanut butter chocolate cookies

 

These half and half cookies are the best of both worlds. No need to make up your mind.

If you love peanut butter and chocolate,  you know whats good for you, make them.  I’m in love.

Recipe adapted from hostthetoast.com — with healthier adjustments made by moi.

PB side Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter, room temp.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips

Chocolate side Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter, room temp.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dairy free chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 F.  Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl combine the PB side ingredients (until just mixed), and lastly fold in the PB chips.

In a separate large bowl, combine the chocolate side ingredients (until just mixed), and lastly fold in the chocolate chips.

Form your cookies by taking a bit of the PB dough and a bit of the chocolate dough and combining into one.  Flatten slightly.

Bake for 10-13 minutes and let cool before eating.  They need to harden.

Yields 30 cookies.
